The Walsworth Festival was first conceived in the 1950s and organised by the Walsworth Residents’ Community Association at St Faith’s Church. Having gone through a number of different incarnations over the years, the festival is now run by a small band of local volunteers, and is host to various stalls, events, music, food, and even a car show! So mark our event in your calendar and join the thousands of other visitors who come from far and wide to celebrate over 50 years of Walsworth Festivals! The Vikings Society Group, Wryngwyrm will be taking part in the arena shows with demonstrations of viking age combat and kiddie vik. There will also be our living history encampment for you to visit and walk around.

The Vikings is a re-enactment Society dedicated to recreating the life and times of the Dark Age period, not only the battles and skirmishes of the period, but also the dress, crafts and every-day life of the different peoples of that time. Founded in 1971, The Vikings are the oldest and largest Dark Age re-enactment society in the UK.
