We can offer events ranging in size and duration, from several hundred members taking part over a full weekend, to a single specialist exhibiting in a museum for a couple of hours and everything in between.
Living History
Tents displaying crafts, skills and everyday life in the Viking and Saxon age – number of tents would vary according to your specific needs and space available
Arena Displays
Scripted battles, skirmishes, free fights, weapons displays including swords, spears, axes and missile weapons such as longbows, javelins and slings
Children’s Activities
Our very own ‘Kiddie Vike’ where the younger audience members have the opportunity to fight against our trained warriors
Cavalry Displays
Horses being put through their paces and showing off battle skills
School Visits
Trained costumed interpreters visiting your school and linking in to the appropriate Key Stage Level that you need
Film Work
Our own dedicated acting team who can supply large or small numbers of actors
Specific Requirements
Anything else that you could need a costumed interpreter for, whether that be to enhance the opening of a new museum exhibit or several people to make a Viking themed wedding come to life, we really can help you with anything that falls within our dateline between 700-1100 CE
The Vikings have been organising displays for over 50 years and have an experienced events team which can work with you to plan and cost up your event, and put together a full program of events.
With over 50 years experience of putting on some of the UK’s most well known and prestigious events, we can help you with everything from the initial planning stages, completing a comprehensive risk assessment, ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met, liaising with other local groups and societies if you want a multi-period event or an event that is totally unforgettable in both size and authenticity. We will also help you advertise your event through our own website and our very active social media pages.
